Welcome to UK Ceramics Art Jewelry webshop where you will find unique, elegant, hand-made, one of a kind ceramic jewels.

Our jewelry workshop is making contemporary handmade ceramic jewelry.  We are based in Szentendre in Hungary and sell through various fancy, fashion shops and art galleries and also through our webshop across Hungary and all over the World.

All the jewelery is designed and hand-made by KATI ULLMANN ceramist, designer.

She was born in 1970 in Budapest and has been living in Szentendre, Hungary since then. She learned pottery, the trade of clay at a secondary school of craftmanship and from famous Hungarian artists. She earned her arts degree at the University of Craftsmanship in Budapest, Hungary.

She has been making pottery since 1990, she creates them in her own workshop. She likes the freehand abstact forms.

'The world of clay is a special world for me, it means happiness, sorrow and reality.  It is a fantastic feeling to pug inanimate clay into form and give life to it through the world of colours.'

The world of the jewels was interesting for her always, the special, unique, delicate and elegant jewels attracted her.  She began making a few pieces of ceramic jewelry for herself couple years ago and she had so many requests from friends and colleagues for similar pieces, that she decided to start a business.  The making of the jewels turned into the important part of her life by today.

Each piece is designed, hand sculptured/crafted, glazed and fired twice ina klin to temperatures of between 950 and 1100 C.  A variety of glazes are used to achive attractive finishes that result in a very individual look.

An assortment of these ceramic beads and shapes are then strung on Beadalon wire, sterling silver chain, twined silk fibre, organza band or leather chain with Swarovski crystals, Japanese beads, vintage glass beads, hand-made glass beads, sterling silver, wood, metal and leather beads.

 

As every piece of our jewelry is hand-made and branded, every one is unique.
